Great Expectations Luncheon planned for May 18
Mark your calendars to attend our annual benefit at the Grand Pointe Conference Center. The event will be a great time of fellowship including lunch, a fashion show and silent auction. You will be blessed to hear from one of our residents about the exciting things God is doing in her life.
We are looking for table hostesses for the luncheon. Please email susiemeredith@northpbc.org if you can sponsor a table.
Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the North Parkersburg Baptist Church office.
Full House
North Place is full with three wonderful ladies. We are expecting babies in May, July and August. Besides our residents at the house, North Place is also helping women who need our support but are unable to stay at the house. Along with providing material items, one particular lady was invited to church and accepted Christ into her heart.
Baby #18
Baby #18 has arrived! Parker was born happy and healthy! Both mother and baby are doing well. After recovery, they moved into their own apartment. Please continue to pray that God will bless them abundantly.
"North Place absolutely saved my life! It allowed me to focus on bettering myself and my life as well as work towards personal goals so that I could be better prepared for when I delivered my baby. North Place gave me a second chance when I felt like I had no where else to go. I was so blessed to have a great spiritual support system and be able to work on my relationship with God as well. I will forever be grateful for my time at North Place. When I thought I was alone, North Place was there for me with open arms,” said Chelsea, baby Parker’s mom.
North Christian School visits the house
Mrs. Smith’s second grade class visited our house on February 15 to donate a quilt they had made and books. Baby Silas enjoyed seeing all of the students. They were exceptionally kind and gentle with him, and sang songs they knew from the Bible. The students enjoyed homemade cookies baked by our houseparent Brenda.
Van Devender Middle donates items
The Van Devender Middle School student council challenged their fellow students to bring baby gifts for the 12 Days of Christmas. The homeroom that brought the most donations was given a pizza party. We were overwhelmed with the amount of gifts given to our house—over 1,200 items!
Vienna Baptist donates to North Place
Vienna Baptist Church made a generous donation of $1500 to North Place from their Christmas offering. The money was used to purchase a security system in order to keep our house safe and secure.
